We are proud to offer something truly unexpected, yet perfectly aligned with the world of exclusive Italian craftsmanship and automotive heritage.
This Piaggio Vespa LX 125 “Ferrari Edition” is an exceptionally rare collector’s item, with it being widely understood that only seven examples were ever produced worldwide. Created as a special collaboration project between Piaggio and Ferrari, these scooters were never offered to the general public, but instead reserved for a select group of VIP clients and insiders.
Although registered on 15 September 2006, this example is officially recognized as a model year 2007 scooter, supported by an accompanying confirmation letter from Piaggio, further strengthening its provenance and authenticity.
Finished in iconic Rosso Corsa, this Vespa carries subtle yet unmistakable Ferrari design cues, including the legendary Cavallino Rampante emblem and a beautifully crafted saddle by Schedoni, the renowned supplier of Ferrari interiors and luggage. The attention to detail and level of finish elevate this Vespa far beyond a conventional scooter, turning it into a true design object and conversation piece.
Importantly, the chassis number of this example is one unit prior to the scooter offered by RM Sotheby’s, creating a unique and tangible link between the two known examples and further underlining the exclusivity of this extremely limited production series.
This scooter has covered just 2,170 km from new, further supporting its status as a carefully preserved collector’s piece. Originally delivered new in Belgium, where it formed part of a private collection, it is now registered in the Netherlands and holds an official RDW registration, although it has never been registered to a private owner.
The scooter is supplied with its Certificate of Conformity (COC), adding to the completeness of its documentation and ease of registration if desired.
While technically based on the reliable Vespa LX 125 platform, this example stands apart through its rarity, provenance, and unique connection to the Ferrari brand.
Notably, a comparable example was sold at auction by RM Sotheby’s in Paris in 2026 for €79,200, highlighting the strong and growing international interest in these highly collectible and rarely seen editions.
Whether displayed alongside a Ferrari in a private collection, used as a stylish paddock companion, or simply enjoyed as a statement of refined taste, this Vespa offers a unique blend of heritage, rarity, and Italian elegance.
