Original Jordan Formula 1 chassis, fully drivable with Honda engine, finished in the iconic 2002 Panasonic Toyota Racing livery.
GPCARS4SALE is pleased to offer this exceptional Jordan Formula 1 car, believed to originate from the 1999 or 2000 Formula 1 season.
Featuring an original Jordan carbon fibre monocoque and Formula 1 suspension, this remarkable car was converted for film production purposes and refinished in the iconic red and white Panasonic Toyota Racing livery, representing the Toyota TF102 driven by Mika Salo during Toyota’s debut Formula 1 season in 2002.
According to the previous owner, the car was used for a production associated with British broadcaster ITV.
What makes this example particularly special is the installation of a fully operational Honda kart engine, allowing the car to drive under its own power. Originally installed for filming purposes, this unique feature makes the car considerably more versatile than a conventional static Formula 1 display car.
The car retains its original Jordan carbon monocoque and suspension components and is fully functional in terms of driving, steering and braking.
Finished in the striking Panasonic Toyota Racing colours, complete with period sponsor decals and Mika Salo’s race number 24, the car offers an impressive visual representation of Toyota’s first Formula 1 season.
With its genuine Jordan Formula 1 origins, film production history and operational Honda engine, this car represents a rare opportunity for collectors, museums and motorsport enthusiasts looking for something truly different.
Although the original chassis identification plate is no longer present, the car is believed to date from the 1999 or 2000 Jordan Formula 1 era. Its exact chassis identity has not yet been confirmed.
A genuine piece of Formula 1 engineering with an unusual film production history, combining authentic Jordan components with the unmistakable appearance of the 2002 Panasonic Toyota Racing team.
