F1 The Exhibition Cutting Edge
Commissioned by F1 The Exhibition as the centre piece for the reception hall of the latest Exhibition in Madrid where it has been on display for the last three months. The piece is entirely hand made, measuring 300cm in length it can be mounted horizontally or vertically on a wall for example.
It has featured in virtually every Instagram post and News article about the exhibition.
Inspired by the evolution of technology within F1, “Cutting Edge” is a highly polished physical silhouette visible only by the leading edges of the aero surfaces.
Formed entirely by hand, using traditional metalworking skills that honour the early Pre-War cars, while gently referencing the shape of the current era.
The piece celebrates the changes in materials over the last 80 years, composed of vintage grade aluminium combined with the latest carbon fibre techniques.
